Thanks man. That name is catchy and is our favorite right now

I dont really know what it means. Its just a name I use out at the bar. I go by Chester Pepperbottom and my friend goes by Jasper Grinsdale, just something stupid we do, usually a good hook for chicks. I just always thought itd be a good name for a bar. its catchy, could mean anything, doesnt appeal to just one group, which imo, is what you need for a bar. if you go auto theme, youll miss out on all the peole who arent diehard car fans, if you go tiki bar, you lose out on sports fans, etc.

good luck though, I will definitely come out and party

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind.

I'm sure you know this already if you started the paperwork for the liquor license with the state and have already formed your company.
you can form the LLC with any name and have the bar named something completely different!

John Doe's LLC, d/b/a/ wenches and Wrenches.

the sign on the building would be "wenches and wrenches" but all the tax documents, state filing documents etc... would be addressed to "John Doe's, LLC".

Run the names through here to see if they have been taken:

http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/bcs_corp/sr_corp.asp

A lot of the names you pull up are assumed names (d/b/a/, doing business as)

btw: I know a few attorneys also

I got the liquor license for RED OX of AUBURN HILLS, last year? I think it was last year, maybe the year before.
the same family owns the sharks club, and a few other establishments.

More! WOW! Hell yeah, keep em coming

I didn't think people even liked shuffleboard that much. We'll definitely have to see about getting one in there. Isn't there more then one size----what is the more popular one?

Regarding pool tables. We were going to have 4 bar boxes, but now we're thinking about 3 bar boxes and 1 nine footer. The bar boxes are all together and the nine footer is kind of off to the side a little. There is an elevated seating area around it (booths). Kind of a VIP area or what have you... Does anyone like 9 footers or only bar boxes?

Also, we were going to have a few video games (Golden Tee??? and a few others). Any interest there???

Thanks guys for the awesome feedback and please keep them coming (especially the names)!!! Hopefully, we can make this place rock!

X2 to the shuffleboard. It sucked when Sabby's took that table out after the re-model they did.

9 ft tables are nice. i personally dont like bar tables.. shuffleboard is fun too, not sure what size the one at slapsticks is but that one is pretty fun.

1 request..... must have at least one racing game...
J/K
i'll bring a ps3 to play when motown comes by...lol
Edit:Orontucky beat me to it...

earlier some one mentioned LLC's
I'm sure your attorney will advise you, but some bar owners I know put their liquor lic under one LLC, the business name in another, and the equipment in a third, keeping all three seperate.

I got the winning name...

LANDSHARKS or LANDSHARK!!!

Will you have Guinnes or Newcastle on Tap for my free $100 tab?

Golden Tee Live is a must...
Silver Strike Bowling is another must...
Big Buck Hunter is another must...

A big money make is having Union Music start leagues for you in there... Brings in a lot of people...
