Where did you come up with that name and how do you know what it means? I'd like to know the meaning behind it before we name a place that. It's really catchy, just never heard of it before.

I dont really know what it means. Its just a name I use out at the bar. I go by Chester Pepperbottom and my friend goes by Jasper Grinsdale, just something stupid we do, usually a good hook for chicks. I just always thought itd be a good name for a bar. its catchy, could mean anything, doesnt appeal to just one group, which imo, is what you need for a bar. if you go auto theme, youll miss out on all the peole who arent diehard car fans, if you go tiki bar, you lose out on sports fans, etc.

If you wanted to go racing themed, you could buy the PINKS car, strip out all the weight, hang it from the rafters and call it "Thunderstangs." Have the grand opening the same day the PINKS episode airs. That'd probably only appeal to a select group, tho :gr_grin:

Ditto on the car shows, I think this club would def. represent whatever day they were held.

Isn't there already a bar called Octane? It is a cool name though.

Our 9 year old suggested guitar hero....who knows, maybe you guys are on to something. Everyone I know loves that game----too bad I suck at it! LOL!

I forget where by g/f went when she was choosing the name for her business but there is a database that you can search to find if anyone else is using the name....

If you need any help with getting anything formed (legal wise) let me know, my g/f's attorney/lawyer is great!!

I'm sure you know this already if you started the paperwork for the liquor license with the state and have already formed your company.
you can form the LLC with any name and have the bar named something completely different!

John Doe's LLC, d/b/a/ wenches and Wrenches.

the sign on the building would be "wenches and wrenches" but all the tax documents, state filing documents etc... would be addressed to "John Doe's, LLC".

I got the liquor license for RED OX of AUBURN HILLS, last year? I think it was last year, maybe the year before.
the same family owns the sharks club, and a few other establishments.
