So here's the deal. Nate Pritchett and I, (Nate was with Pinks for a years) and I are collaborating on an LSX racing event. He and his brother Adam have a growing racing series that will host 3-4 events in 2010, and we are going to hold a race during his July 10th, Milan event. His website is www.UltimateOutlaws.com.

What you need to know....

Event: Motor City Rumble (LS1/LSX powered entries)
When: July 10th, 2010
Where: Milan Dragway, Michigan
Hours: Noon to Midnight

Classes: (numbers could change hopefully won't)
-Outlaw Radial $2500 to winner, $50 to race
-New Camaro $750 to winner, $35 to race
-True 10.5 $750 to winner, $35 to race
-9.0/10.0/11.0 Index, $30 to race

What we need...
Number one, we need for you guys to get the word out. This date is LOCKED in. Some of you already know about the race since I asked you for some advice for the last two months. But we are now a go.

Number two, please email me if you want to sponsor or co-sponsor a class. I'm sure that the 'net chatter, coupled with the high likelihood of print media coverage will make sponsorship a no brainer for some of you. I sent an email out to a bunch of MI/IL/IN shops last night but if I missed you please PM me or email me at [email protected].

Number three, if you are local to the track, and want to sponsor and hold an open house, please let me know.

I already have verbal confirmation from most of the LSx outlaw radial guys that they are coming.

Questions you might have:
-What are the rules? They are coming, and they will be SIMPLE. 10.5 will limit entries to a 28 inch tire, and a single adder. Beyond that the rules won't be that elaborate. Bring IT. Outlaw Radial will be very simple, just keep it on a 315, let's say max of 114 and twin 88's?

-So Nate's series is racing too? Yup, he's running his 5-6 classes, and no car slower than an 11.0 will make a pass at the event. I don't expect every class to have a million cars, so it's all doable. We are his guest.

-Will there be a pre-party with giveaways? Heck yeah, details coming.

-So what's the intent with race? It's simple. The scene is simply too big to only get together once a year. Many folks want to have a race earlier in the season to attend/spectate at/follow on the web.

-I'm cool and put an LS motor in a Mustang, can I race? Yes you can. Any body. No dune buggies, sand rails, and motorcycles.

So mark your calenders, please let me know what questions you have.

Get wrenching! I'll throw in a cheap PLSX sponsorship package too if you are interested in sponsoring a class.

I'd love to throw in some cool extra $ too but only if I can line it up. So I'd love to throw out a bounty for a 7 second nitrous pass on 10.5's, first 2010 Camaro in the 8's, all that good stuff.

Well we'd love to have you. We don't need massive car count to have a good time, but I already have verbal confirmation from a lot of heavy hitters that they plan to come out, even some TX folks.

If I am in town I may come spectate. My car will not break into 11's with the current street tires. And no, not getting a stickier tire until I upgrade some other things.

Those are the classes for now, rules are going to be very very simple...

I have this one I'm building right now just for the event...
