New Jeep SRT-8

Matt, unfortunately we did not have a great run because of the rain and the fact that the Jeep only has 400 miles on it, but the x5m is probably a half second quicker to sixty and it gets worse after that. A poor STI had no idea what he was getting into with the x5m yesterday. Embarrassing an SUV can be that quick.
 
I'm a bigger fan of the older gen srt8's personally, Whats the specs on the beemer? Never knew they were that fast to keep up with the srt8
 
My experiences say that the X5M would fucking murder the Jeep in a drag race, maybe even without the X5M using launch control.

I didn't know they were that bad ass either. Wow! I know the Jeep is suffering from more heft so it's actually a tick slower then the previous gen even with the 6.4. That Bimmer is something else.
 
I'm not a huge fan of the Jeep's wheels either.
The BMW is a twin turbo 4.4 V8 liter with direct injection.
It is not light either by any means 5400lbs without driver
 
That BMW is good for a low to mid 12 sec pass. With a tune, they will run 11.90s all day. The turbos really help it out of the gate, and that is where it beats up on the jeep real bad.
 
The X5M definitely surprises a lot of people. Being a sleeper is one of the downsides and makes it hard to get any races though.
