...well not exactly. I joined a while back , but once I sold my 02 S281 I stopped lurking on the forums. Well since I picked up a new toy I figured I could start lurking on here once again. I flew out to Ft.Lauderdale about a month ago and picked her up :

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!

Nice ... Did you buy it from a dealer down there?

It's a wholesale dealer that usually doesn't do retail transactions however I was informed that he had just acquired this Z from a repo auction so I got a hold of him immediately and worked out a deal. He deals with mostly high end / specialty vehicles and there were quite a few there including the ones pictured in the background.

Congrats, beautiful Z. I did the same thing (flew to pensacola) for my first Z06 years ago. What a fun drive home!!!

The drive back was enjoyable up until I reached northern Ohio / Michigan , that's when I toned it down to 50mph w/ my hazards on all the way home since I got caught up in a snow storm. :banghead:

Same thing happened to me. I went down in Mid march and thought it was pimp to be in my new Z down in 80 degree florida weather. By the time I got into ohio it was a blizzard and roads were being shut down. I made it safely, and glad to see you did too. Its horrible to worry about wrecking your Z before it gets into your driveway. God bless stability control eh?

For being a supposed died in the wool Mustang guy, I LOVE the Z06. I'm afraid if I drove one I'd buy one.

Nice car for sure!

I think my main concern was the fact that I didn't even know how the car behaved on anything other then dry pavement. So by the time the snow started beating down I slowly eased into a comfortable cruising speed at which I could reduce the risk of wrecking the car. Stability control did save my ass twice while coming off exit ramps!

Thanks man! I never thought that I would have gotten rid of my S281 either, however after having purchased the Z I'm really glad that I did .

Were you driveing the Z on eureka rd in the downriver area yesterday?

Nope, not me. The car has been in storage since I got it up here from Florida. I'm still waiting for the weather to get a tad bit more pleasant before putting insurance on it. Maybe end of April/ beginning of May? Well see..
