Well, I have known about motown for a while, but finally decided to join up.

My name is Richard, and I am from the Kzoo area... I also own a 64 GTO..

not much else to tell, except I do own a FWD car I am modifying...just not what everyone would think of.
 
Not that I didn't have some good times in Kzoo but man did that place get old fast. Maybe it was going to school all the time that ruined the scenery for me..lol.

But thanks everyone for the welcome...the GTO isn't much at the moment, its been sitting for 4 years so I am just fixing everything thats gone wrong since it has been sitting...but it has a 455 in it at the moment with some junkyard tranny and rear in it..I have a built 3 speed with a 2500 stall converter and a 4.56 rear sitting in my garage for it, just not sure if I want to put all that back into it.

As silver said, I own a 94 SHO, but thats my DD, the car I am modifying is actually a 92 Tempo GLS... It was actually a sportier car then the regular ones, and before I stripped the motor out of it, I was running low 15's on a stock motor with 155k on it, then mid 14's with a 50 shot....the motor got tired enough for me to just pull it out and I am working on fitting the SHO 3.2L motor with a 5 speed in it at the moment...figured it will be a fun FWD car that isn't a honda... and I am hoping for flat 14's/high 13's in it on street tires.

yes i am the one and only. i no longer have my silver 95. now rollin an 04 taurus as a dd, have my 93atx sho thats up for sale soon.
the gto looks nice. wish i could get my classic lookin that good.

Oh man, that is a righteous build! Never saw that coming! Your combo sounds like a solid 13 sec car with a decent 60ft. I too am a fan of the FWD (SRT-4 and GLH) but I also have a Pacer that has run 14.20 on the straight six.

Welcome to the site. anything that someone has put time and money into to make it faster or more fun is still essentially hot rodding. the less mainstream and odd, the cooler!

and Sardeanie, your pacer is hilarious, i thought it was cool when i checked it out once

yes, turbo dodge's are great....in my Past I actually have had 2 different Turbo mini van's...but one had a blown head gasket (and the body was junk),and my second one I ended up blowing a piston out (and the body was junk) when I was pushing 18 PSI....it didn't help in the second one I was only running the resistor mod and 20+ (actually, there were the flex fuel injectors)......


thanks for the compliments on the GTO...it was actually my dads car, but he passed away last year, and it was one thing I wanted to keep, since he was the one that got me into cars when I was younger.

My sho is really just a DD though, its a auto and the tranny is kinda on its last leg...so I am babying it untill I can either find something else...or just swap it to a 5 speed. But when you only pay 200 bucks for a car...you can expect problems.
