yeah, those are paint, not vinyl. i liked the colors of the original stripes i just hated the patern, so we did a tri color rally stripe.

and it has a 2200 stall converter, i have a 750 Q-jet that im gonna try this summer, also might try a few different intakes (one of my friends, i swear has just about every edelbrock manifold ever made.) but i also have a TPI setup i might try to install this summer.

thanks i appreciate it, i try to make it look good, the car was a tri-toned mess when we got it, rot everywhere and it looked as if someone had danced on the roof, there was a dent above the back window that looked like a small tree fell on it or someone took a baseball bat to it. it was rough, but lots of hammering, and lots of block sanding made it look decent. if i had to do it over again i would have just started with a better car. i have spent about 10k on the car and about 4 of it was just fixing crap. i payed about 3 for the motor the trans was done for parts about $600, my dad is friends with the owner of Whitfield transmission, the paint was about 1300, and i got the rear end rebuilt and installed for 500, and some various other crap.


i also have a chevy 302 DZ clone motor that might go in there if i feel like putting a 4spd and solid roller cam in it and shifting at about 8k, but i might sell it to a camaro guy and use the money to fund an LS based project.
