looks nice... So what if its not crazy fast, as long as you have fun with it!
My car is slow too! Welcome!

thanks, but i need to make it go faster. id love to do a gen III/T-56 swap in it. and i have an unhealthy obsession with turbochargers.

Welcome Travis - nice ride, I miss mine.

Do you have the 86-88 wheels for it?

yeah, i do they are in the barn... i have plans for them im not sure if i want to polish the flat sides and paint the whole wheel black or just blackout the inside of the "holes"

the older I get the more I like the G-bodys.

Im in canton and I never have seen the car rolling around. I noticed it was also in your location.

BTW welcome to the board.

i had it down here till about nov. then i shipped it back up to lapeer to store for the winter, she'll be back down once theres no chance of snow. then this summer im either going TPI or im going to build my 302 DZ clone motor.

Nice car. I almost had one of those as my first car.

I think a turbocharged LSx would be sweet in there! ;) And I don't think an obsession with turbo's is such a bad thing.....

well considering i dont have 10 grand to drop into an LSx and two turbos, not to mention the supporting mods that would be necessary, even though it has a full frame, its a weak full frame.

Yeah, there is that..... DOH! All in good time man. Do what you can now and have fun with the car. That is what it's all about.

actually im thinking realistically about trying a turbo LT-1 setup if i can find an LT-1/t-56 donor car on the cheap. and the LT-1 sits so low in a monte that you could to a top mount intercooler with a cowl hood similar to the subaru setup.

but yeah, if i can get the car to break the 13's ill be happy with it. the motor is going to have to be torn down pretty soon, it doesnt hold oil pressure that good, its a long story, but the motor builder messed up, then it puked because of it, then when he rebuilt it he didnt put new cam bearings in, and id bet the cam isnt degreed.

I bet a different stall and a little spray would get you well into the 13s no problem. It's a very nice ride. I'd be proud of it!
