If it sounds like it's laboring while cranking (dead battery) then you have too much timing and the noise you hear is probly spark knock. I don't remember which way to turn for + - timning... I think i saw the car today, your second house off corner?

yea thats me , 2nd off the corner , timing is atleast in the right ballpark now until i can get a timing light on it , new plugs and wires and a oil change and it should be good to go

put new plugs in it today and she runs even better , still needs to be fine timed but i wont be able to get to that till wednesday or thursday ,., quck question , while at a stop and if i turn the wheel either direction i hear this squeal ( not the pump or anything like that ) its almost like something needs to be greased , any ideas ? ,., also is it normal fo the oil pressure guage to not work at idle ? it works while driving but once at idle it drops down to nothing , i dont hear any noises or anything at idle , is this a dummy guage in these cars ? how would i go about hooking up a mechanical guage ?

how many miles does the motor have on it ?, and if i was u i would grease the ball joints and everything, just to alteast be safe

Ive seen ball joints or tie rods sqeek like that, may need grease or replacement. I'd make sure you have oil pressure before you drive/damage it anymore if it actually is low. You just need to pull off the factory sensor and plumb in a fitting to your gauge which will be 1/8npt. The gauges usually come with extra fittings. You could prolly get one at a parts store or borrow a local members temporarily.

I had an engine with a spun bearing that would also only gain oil pressure once I hit the throttle.

car has 120xxx miles but was told the motor was replaced , all the suspension is new , car has toxico springs and shocks/struts , im just going to grease everything and see what happens

im going to do an oil change and see if that changes anything , the oil thats in it now seems realy thin ( clean , but thin ) , ill look into either replacing the stock oil sensor or doing a actual gauge

theres a connector in the drivers side wheel well area that will ocassionally corrode on the sn95 cars cuasing inop/intermitent/wrong oil pressure guage readings.

i need an alternator 1st , probably getting that done today , cheapest one i can find is like 150bucks
