New(er) Computer!

So I finally am having to retire my dell 9300. about a month ago it started to have some serious video card errors, about 4 different drivers wouldnt work, and its progressively having memory going bad is my assumption. i'm current forced to have no video card acceleration on and can only run a 1024x768 resolution before getting fatal errors, full screen video freezes at any resolution over 800x600. Anyways I was thinking about replacing it as the video card is not built in to the mother board, but i got to thinking, that well, the case is pretty beat, it needs a fan cause the processor only runs at full speed for about 10 min from a cold start before it gets too hot even with a laptop cooler. I dual core would be nice, but I want a 17" 1920x1200 display and all the brand new shit is way exspensive. So I shopped around and found this

its basically an updated version of what i have. mine served me well for over 4 years with 30 months in iraq, and basically was never ever shut off.

i'm getting all giddy like a girl waiting for it to get here!!

who refurbished it?

This is a delloutlet refurbished unit. You can get them directly from the outlet cheaper.

Here is a 15% off coupon for someone to use if they want to buy one out of the outlet. RB1SSBN88W2NCQ

Should be about $619 - 15% + tax or about $550 shipped to michigan

the cheapest one with a wuxga display was $719. that was basically my only requirement, that and dual core processor. so total after rebates with tax and shipping was 680. so i actually saved 12 bucks going this route. mine was listed as a refurb, but the majority on the dell outlet were scratch and dent. well see when it gets here.

Wish I had known, I have a sweet IBM T60p and T61p here, both are WUXGA, a HP one too.

Make sure you go over every inch of the laptop when it arrives. I bought a refurb'd Dell from their outlet back in Feb and it arrived defective. I don't think the guy they have doing QA on the return & repacking does a very good job.
