New Dodge Avenger Conecpt ?

Well, at least it doesn't look like the rest of the Dodge car line...oops...wait...it does, just smaller.

it'll be built on the sebring/gallant platform, fwd

I have been checking into that. Looking at the dimensions i can't see how they could build it on that platform.

We have the coolant hose business for the platform. It's on the sebring platform, JS. Front drive. I hadn't seen an Avenger, just the Sebring, which looks like the old Sebring but backed into a wall at 40 MPH and with those retarded ribs in the hood that Chrysler is putting on everything because they started it with that lame ass crossfire.

You sure becuase as of this moment its a concept not an actuall platform. Also chrysler has been getting away from mistsubishi the last few years. I just look at it and think its a C class platform just like the LX cars are E class mercedes.

that would be the current avenger look at the conecpet. It would be very difficult to build the new concept on the JS platform. the shoulder are to high the A pillars to vertically inclinded not to mention the wheel base and track width issues. Plus why would Parent Benz want to waste money making a new platform for FWD vehicles when chrysler can use the last generation platform tooling and save a ton of $$$

what the hell is with all these 4 door "sports" cars?

i thought SPORTS cars were suposed to be SPORTY. as if SUV's weren't way too fucking big already they have to upsize the sedans and sports cars to make them appeal to soccermoms. :swear:

Ok, so I'm confused. Why is there an Avenger concept when the Avenger just came out on a new platform? They don't even have the JS Avenger on their website yet? They have a concept of the replacement before they even start selling it?

the current avenger is due to be replaced in the next 2 model yrs. the current avenger is a galant/eclipse carry over whil the germans move the tooling i guess. I like the concept car.

Ok, weird. I just assumed since the coming Avenger wasn't on sale yet that the concept was a version of it.

The car on Allpar and the car in your original link sure as hell look like the same car to me. I think the concept is the JS car.

hhmmm hadn't seen those pictures. does look strikyingly the same. wierd. I was hoping they were gonna C class the damn thing and finally toss the FWD.

I'm all for more RWD cars, I wish that were the case. Hell, if the current Stratus had been RWD and they had made an SRT version I might have bought one. I liked the look of the two doors.
