New Camaro SS - Up close pics...

The interior did come out looking cheap, at least in these pics. Hopefully it looks better in person. Rick - How does it compare to C6 or GTO? GM started putting together some good interiors lately but the center stack on the Camaro looks pretty cheap.

I agree with you guys. The placement of the SS is WRONG! Lower it and some killer aftermarkets with a nice lip and I'd rock it. :D

Suspension parts are already available. ;)

yuck, the new challenger is much nicer. and the 2010 stang is off the hook.

Great shots! I'd love to see more of that '67 Pace car

I love the hate  Stock for Stock the Mustang is still in trouble

The battery is in the trunk in what would be the spare tire well. They give you a little air compressor and no spare tire----it's located next to the battery in a foam insert. All of this is covered up like your normal trunk.

The car definitely needs to be lowered to look right imo. We have a yellow one with a leather interior that we're doing a photo shoot on right now. It is very nice (interior, etc) --- much nicer in person however I'm kind of on the fence right now. Probably one of those cars that you grow to love. Lots of leg room in the front (I'm 6'8"), but NONE in the back if you have the front seat back. I put the front seat back all the way and leaned it back so I was comfortable, the back of the front seat was actually touching the rear seat bottom---pretty gay imo.... Cool feel to it when sitting inside. You feel like you're sitting way down in the car like the old ones of that era. I also liked the gauge package --- especially the center gauge package. I'm sure there are some pics out there of this floating around.....

I think I'd rather have a GXP G8 ;-)

Because I've never seen it, how much room is in the back seat of a 2009 Mustang when the front seat is all the way back?

Isn't that just something that goes along with a Camaro/Mustang for quite a few years?

Yes.

If you want to seat four, buy a four-door. Sports two-doors never have much room in the back nor should they.

MY buddy has an 05 convertible and it has more room in the back, but not as much in the front.

Yes, those cars never have much room, but the headroom is non-existant (for me anyways) so I have to lean the seat back. No joke, the front seat was literally laying on the back seat bottom! My kids (10 and under) couldn't sit behind me unless I had the seat so far forward that my knees were sticking through the windshield. I had a 71 camaro in high school and had a lot more leg room. To each his own, but if it is basically going to be a 2 seater, I'd buy the vette. My .02.

Car is awesome from a powertrain standpoint. Plenty of room for headers, blower, etc. Looks very easy to work on and on paper it PERFORMS! Can't wait to see some people modify them!

You're 6'8" man. They didn't have the 99-percentile male in mind when they built the car or any car for that matter. There's 1000 reasons to be ecstatic about being that tall. And there's few very reasons to be sad about it so take your lumps and be happy you can dunk unlike my short, vertically challenged self. :)

Oh I'm plenty happy. I'll admit this car did nothing for me (in pictures), but seeing it in person, seeing how cool of a package it is, everything about it (until I sat in it) and I wanted to go get one--lol. They grow on you. The G8 does have a ton of room though. Anyone know if the GXP version has come out yet? I heard this month.....
