More of the Volvrolet Den Vagen, it is a small block Chevy powered Volvo Wagon, well, it was to start the race, it got Den Vagenized mid race.

great photos.

our three time LeMons team ran our ford escort in the race. We had fuel tank problems that kept us in the pits for the first 6 hours but at 6 pm the car was running ok until we punted an out of control CRX early sunday morning.

some very crazy driving going on out there.
 
We ran the first 4 hours or so of the night. We started having engine problems around 12:30. We sort of tried to diagnose it. Failed. Decided to sleep. Woke up and actually diagnosed it to be a bad ground for the 2,4, and 6 injectors and finished the race. When we heard the morning driver's meeting we were glad we made that decision. Asshole driving got our car bent up enough as it was. 2 race old fuel cell needs a new can. Pretty pissed about that. Nice straight fender has a big dent in it to that can be seen in the pics. Side by side with someone and they came down on us. Driver tried to back out of the situation but still got the front fender.

The dipshits in the 51 car, fuck, I even had a corner worker support I did nothing wrong in a conversation and tell me 51 appeared to do this on purpose. I was next to 51 on the inside going into turn 4 (3), the banked left hander. Door to door, had position on him. I had to slow being on the bottom to not bounce into him over the bumps so he was able to stay next to me. He runs me off the inside of the track! I stayed in it and completed the pass :) Talking to the corner worker while I was taking pictures he was like, yeah! I saw that. I called it in on 51. Corner worker said, you were directly along side him going into this corner and he intentionally ran you down. I called it in on him, they asked if there was a change of position and he returned with yeah, the other car completed the pass.

Which Escort were you? #10? I might have a pic of it rolling off at the start or in a pack. Let me know what car you were, I have 734 more pictures here :lol:

Yeah we were the #10 Ford Escort GT. We've ran the car at Toledo, Nelson and Gingerman LeMons race and at this years Chumpcar event. We're very impressed with the 1.8L DOHC engine and its been very reliable. We were having issues with our fuel tank and fuel pump and worked on the car for the first 6 hours.. Car was running good from 7pm to 5 am until one of our drivers hit a wayward Honda CRX. Ended our race Sunday morning.
 
Were you at the July Gingerman Lemons? Damn that was hot. We finished third in that race. We are hoping Chump keeps Road America on the schedule. We're planning on going there for our next race if they have it when they had it last year.
