MotorCityNova572 said:ITs called a "Spring Compresser" i THINK they rent them out at like auto zone and what not. There are like 2 or 3 different kinds. i would use the kind with the straps. They tightin with a drill. BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!
dirtybird said:Raise the vehicle, then lower it onto the jack stands. Keep the vehicle weight on the hoist. Unbolt anything that would cause the spring to stay in the vehicle when lowering. Get a spring compressor and compress the spring then, lower the vehicle enough to get the springs out. (be careful the spring is under HUGE load and if lets go can KILL you.)
dirtybird said:Wait let me fix that. Do you have a jack that is that high or just a jack stand?

DAMNIT!!! I was hoping to eventually see a camera phone pic of someone with a beer in one hand and a tool of some sort in the other with a spring lodged in their chest.Detroit Muscle said:thanks guys we got everything out and in great...thanks for the help!
