Ok so update. I have a friend who owns a company and decided to jump in with him hauling. Going for my cdl next week. Thanks for the support and info guys. I'll keep this posted.

I never liked office work and am trying to stay away from it. I get to see the country this way too :)
 
Don't blame you. I've been down there a lot. We used to do a lot of the flights out of DTW to MTY, with overnights there. Now they are done out of ATL by our company. I remember one time, on the van ride to the hotel, there was a hotel near our "compound" as it's called, that had about 5-10 trucks out front with .50 cal rifles mounted and armed, with a ton of federales with assault rifles outside. As pilots, we're a highly valuable target for the cartels. The amount of security procedures we had, was quite extensive.
