I recently got a new laptop and want to start downloading music again. However I do not want to get a lot of viruses on my computer from doing this. I know you can download Napster or LimeWire for a fee and just wanted to know if anyone has used any of these services and/or if it was worth it.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks!!!

torrent sites for the win!

it doesnt mean you wont get viruses though, thats the risk you take when pirating.

These two things do not go together. I don't care where you download from, if it's "free" you're getting spyware and malware on your computer. It could be from torrents or shareware. It's all loaded with stuff. So if you want to download music, fine, but don't expect your new machine to be running smoothly in 6 months.

I'm asking about places where you can pay for music FOR EXAMPLE limewire and napster you can pay to use their programs

Perfect! Thank you! That is something that I was looking for I appreciate it

It can be a little difficult to use it the first time. It's not nearly as hard as it looks though. If you end up going that route, let me know and I'll do what I can to help. They don't always have everything, but most new songs and movies. You can download just about everything from XBox 360 and PS3 games to audio books and Windows, haha. Some is obviously a little more involved than others, but you get the idea.

Itunes and you can download albums or individual songs.

If you can download all that I don't see how it could be legal and at that point, you might as well just do it for free

Angela uses that limewire light site that u pay for and she doesnt have any problems and i bought her laptop about 8 months ago

I've been using Limewire damn near since it came out. No viruses, but I do use a mac... Vuze is good too.

I use http://www.legalsounds.com/ to get all my euro trash music, since few users on limewire have as good taste as I do.. = no seeding of good music :D

I think we paid 40 for the year or something like that.
