'66 mustang coupe. The car is dark blue with white stripes. It has a shelby hood, so the hood scoop is part of the hood, not screwed or riveted on.

I am putting 2 stripes down the center of the car. I want your opinion whether I should put the stripes OVER the scoop, or go AROUND the scoop. (poll below, "Over" and "Around", kinda self explanatory).
Also, you vote to put stripes around the scoop, should I paint the scoop dark blue to match the car (remember it is part of the hood, not attached) or paint the scoop black? (Poll below, "blue" or Black"

pics of other cars:
(yes I am aware the old cars are painted over the scoop and the newer cars paint around).

New cars are "around" because they are bolted on and useless.

There is no choice on a 66,

You paint over the scoop

C'mon, you have to ask this question? You have a 66 Mustang, you need to go with the flow and the way they used to be.....

grr

And, the new cars look like shit in my humble opinion.

Not the car, cause I've owned them, but the fake bolted on hood scoop. At LEAST do the functional one by classic design concepts. That's "functional" but does nothing for power.
