Need info about working for Roush

Roush is hiring people to test drive cars. Anyone know about this job? Anything good bad or what. Is it a cool place to work? From what I was told you drive a car around all day then come back and do a report on the car. What type of cars will it be?

That's basically what it will be. You'll spend 8 hours making one big loop just putting miles on the car. Usually they go out in groups. Boring as hell but it's easy work.

No idea what kind of cars you'd be driving now. It use to be a lot of stuff for DCX, but I think the Chrysler side of bld 50 has been shut down. You won't be out slamming gears in a stage 3, I can tell ya that.


I worked for Roush for about 6 years. Great place to work in you're hired in full time. If you're a temp not so much, they change temps like most people change underwear, but hey, thats why it's called a temp position.
 
Been doing it since last April.

Good job, pay is awful and when we get slow, good luck getting any hours.

If the pay was better, it would be a GREAT job.

They were still working on DCX in 50 when I was there this week. Whats with the skinnies on all the challengers? They look goofy as hell.

Ok gonna go old school here.... They still do the viper comp coupe in B50?? I left 50 5 years ago for crucam and left there 3 years ago....

Got me man, I was there for another program. We didn't get the chance to wander around much at all.
 
My boyfriend does that right now. He's been getting roughly 3-5 days work. He comes home really tired from all the driving.

Ahh..having been a supervisor I had access to most if not all of thee building with my card. On saturdays when the place was looking desolate I used to love wandering around just to see what I could see. No harm no foul never stole anything or nuttin stupid like that but I just liked checking out the neat shit :gr_jest:
 
Granted its a mindless job, I told a few unemployed friends about it, and they said they couldn't afford it because unemployment pays more..:gr_jest:

the chassis were built in 40 in auburn hills and then a builtat 70 in auburn hills along with the challenger drag packs up until they all closed within the last year. not sure where now
