need help

dont know if this is the right fourm but i cant get my harmonic balancer to go on after i sand blasted it and painted it and ideas anyone ?
 
the balancer expanded from the heat of the spray paint..... Use a right-handed radius file, make sure it's RIGHT HANDED and clean it up. Trust me a left handed file WILL NOT WORK.

Whenever i paint my balancers i use a roller, did you use a roller - i never have that problem when i use a roller

i dont want to sound stupid, but what the heck is the difference between a right or left handed file, and how does spray paint produce heat? and how could it be enough heat to make metal expand?
 
1. Make sure the wife isn't home.
2. Preheat oven to 250*.
3. Bake balancer for 15 minutes.
4. Remove from oven wearing asbestos gloves
5. Slide it on the end of the crank.

sounds good well i live with the pops he wouldnt care lol but thanks alot guys ill try it

Right handed file is distinguished by the orientation of the gnarl on the file, when they cut the tool in production. Right hander is ///// ===> Left hander is \\\\\ ====>. I know Snap-on makes them, kinda expensive but they work great.
