Need Help with LSD in the LS $$$

Hey guys, thanks for havin' a look, I want to install a Limited Slip Differential in my 2003 Lincoln LS V8. The stock dif on all LS' is an open differential.

That said, I don't know shit about rear ends.

Recently one of the more technical members on another forum I visit, lincolnvscadillac.com, tore apart a couple and found that a 8.8 LSD from a mustang can be directly installed.

Here is what I'm told:
What you need is an 8.8 trac loc (28 spline) from a mustang basically. Search "8.8 trac loc" on ebay... should find a couple, don't pay over $70 for it... get a rebuild kit for it (would be stupid to install used without a rebuild)... should be able to find one on ebay as well (I'd keep looking till you find one under $80).

You're in Detroit, so head up to warren with your carrier (or car), and your parts... stop in at DTS (drive train specialists)... they'll install everything for you, or if you want to just go all new, they'll do that too. DTS is a nationally known company that specializes in performance rear-ends... you can't go wrong. I have them do all of my work.

ADDED ON: You can usually get a brand new 28 spline Trac Loc for a ballpark price of $250 if you shop around. So it's your choice which way you want to go, rebuilt used isn't that much less than brand new. But if you take it to a place like DTS, they'll add or remove plates and change spring pressure to adjust the preload and torque capacity... or in other words... how much slip it allows. But we're talking an LS with at best 310 crank HP when running tune and CAI... doubtful you need any adjustment from a factory set-up

So if I follow those directions, and get the parts I need, would anyone be interested in making some cash to install it? I can take it to DTS as suggested, but I figured I'd rather help out a fellow MM member if I can.

I just want to make sure I'm going to buy the right parts first. Any suggestions or warnings? Any other recommendations for a shop if it turns out that no members are interested.

The thread on LvC can be found here if anyone is interested, http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=39863

Thanks for the help guys! Hopefully we can find a way to help eachother out.
