Need help with an 02 Monte Carlo

A friend has a Monte that has been sitting for about 6 months without being started. It ran fine when he parked it. He went to start it today and it wont turn over. The car has power, it is probably a security system issue, but I have no idea how to bypass or fix it on these things. The display cycles between security, service traction, service engine, low fuel continuously and the traction control light stays on.

Any ideas short of towing it to a dealer?

did you try to jump it? most new stuff will light everything but not turn over if voltage isn't up to par.
also try another key

Charge or replace the battery.

He replaced the battery and ignition module this morning, and the car is on a charger.

And I told him to try the other key earlier, no go.

Is the security light flashing ?

He said there is no security light, but the "telltale display" says security, and it cycles between that and the other messages, but it doesnt ever stop.

hmmm. It could be a security issue. Call me in the morning and I will check the antiheft system behaviors for ya to clarify this.
