Wire breakage between the door and the A-pillar is probably the number one failure point in all cars . I would look there .

That became mandatory when the celeb ran over himself with a grand Cherokee. Make driving onto an alignment rack a real pain!!

The real problem, in that case,
was that godawful “Autostick” transmission in Chryslers of that era. Ex-wife had one in her 300S and we both hated it. So easy be in the wrong gear.
