Need help finding a bearing

Looking for a bearing (If possible) to replace the bearing in my 1996 Cobra's belt tensioner. I can only find replacement tensioners. The tensioner operates fine, but the bearing doesn't operate as smooth as it should.

Anyone have a way to spec it out?

Look on the bearing itself. You'll be looking for a number embossed on the seal portion. An example would be a 6002, 6202, 6302, etc. As long as it isn't some crazy, one off size, it should be easy to source. I can get quite a few different sizes that are commonly used as motorcycle wheel bearings.

Is the entire tensioner assembly cost prohibitive to buy the whole thing? The last couple I bought were only like $20 for the entire assembly.

You'd be surprised at how interchangeable a lot of those bearings and pullies are. Look for an idler pulley, you may be able to swap out the entire pulley. There's typically a 60, 76, and 90mm pullies in flat (backside drive), and usually 76-90 on front side drive.

Gates brand tensioner is $35 on rockauto, probably cheaper on Amazon.
