need auto insurance help please

The answer is no. I've looked at a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for Hagerty and a 2008 Ford Mustang GT for Grundy. I've even looked at a 2003 Jaguar S-Type. I've looked at Lamborghini's of various vintages, Corvettes (including a 2009 Z06). While I doubt they'd look at a 2011 Chevy Cruze as a collectable car, there is no age requirement. And yes, I've looked at numerous Fox and SN-95 Mustangs.

Hey Moneypit, you realize your Typhoon isn't 25 years old, right?

As far as price goes is it pretty good?

As mentioned, dirt cheap. And the price they quote is YEARLY, not 6 months. Typically between $250-$400. More if you have something really expensive.

I guess i could do some resarch but ill continue with the thread lol. Appraisal needed or what. Thinking this might be the ticket for my new mustang.

Nope. Have secured storage. Have a daily driver other than the Mustang. Be 25/26 or older. I know they'll want pictures of the car. They'll want pictures of where the car is stored.

Is it based on a certain amount of miles or only weekend use? I remember checking it out years ago for my other mustang but i wasnt old enuff to qualify.

i have no mile limit but i cant drive it to work, or running errands or things like that

Let's not say you can't, but they really frown on it. What keeps the insurance cheap is the lower risk (no rush hours, no crowded parking lots, etc.). Have a jealous coworker who key scratches other peoples stuff isn't a good day.

I would also try Grundy. Is there a reason why YOU can't insure your own car? This is a red flag for any insurance company. As mentioned, you also need to be 25 or 26, a secure storage situation (locked garage or storage unit) and the car can't have nitrous.
.

the reason why the insurance is in her name is because when we got quotes she got a better price. we are both covered, but the policy is in her name. when we had allstate the policy was in my name. as for the other stuff, i'm 33, the car is locked up every night in my garage, and the car does not have nitrous.

Just leave it in your name. At some point they may ask for a copy of the title. With her being just a G/F, Grundy isn't going to insure the car as her's either. Collector car insurance is cheap. Be proud of your manhood. Insure your car yourself.
