Need advise with 306

We bought this 94 GT from Mystic who bought it from JHarris...We started the car 3 times after we bought it and for the past 4 months we've been trying to get it started again. Had a local racer guy over who builds tons of SBF's over Monday and they tried to turn the crank and it was nearly impossible to turn. The car is now in his shop getting torn down. Either a bad bearing or wrist pin is tied up. Here is what they (the 2 sellers) said the motor was...

-1.94 stainless intake valves
-1.60 stainless exhaust valves
-flowed 242 at .700 lift
-roller rockers rocker girdle
srp dome pistons eagle rods 13.25 to 1 compression
comedic head gaskets
4.030 bore
new comp cam .705 intake lift and .697 exhaust lift duration at .050 lift intake 258. Exhaust 269
eletric water pump eletric fans msd distributor new msd wires
pro systems 750 carb
3.73 gears
they said car would run 10's on motor and 9's with nos. The guy who has it says no fricken way...maybe 11.50's on motor. He also said he's never seen this big of a cam in this motor!! boy ol' boy i'm pissed. I was taken by Mystic on here.

My question to you guys is what should be added and changed to make this car run faster then 11.50's??
please help!!

Id say You could start with better heads and get ready to :spend:
That also seems like alot of compression for a nitrous motor

4.56 gear and a loose converter and it will probably go tens the way it sits.
 
I've seen stuff go fast with those heads, but your right, holy cam bat man! I would think a better flowing set of heads with help that thing out a ton, not to mention you could downsize on the cam and still be happy. I think Casper is right too, a little more gear and convertor would help too.

ps I am in no way cracking on Mystic or anyone else, just commenting on what I see in the OP statements.
 
Tire size 28x10.5wx15.... What type of heads would you consider, converter, gears now...that tire size has been stated??
 
Any car can run 10s with a good set up.... And that ain't it that cam is way to big for those heads
Looks like your gonna be starting from scratch after the tear down
Good luck hope the seller helps you out but I doubt it.
 
Kinda sounds like it might have had a blown headgasket/cracked head before you let it sit which might explain the hard time starting
 
I would also say blown head gasket or something is cracked!! Hopefully it wasnt hydrolocked and bent any rods,,,Your on the right track to find your problem, have heads and block checked for cracks and check everything else when its apart! Was it stored in the cold with just water??? Or was the coolant to water mixture not right and had a freeze situation???
 
not sure on the freeze part the car is still over at the shop. They took the heads and block over to be bead blasted only to find that 1 cylinder was welded because the cut to much out of it. Waiting for results on pressure test. I'm not looking to brake the bank anymore does any one have a good set of heads that they would be willing to ask a fair price for? They opened the block up another 10,000 so it's a 310 now. SRP domed pistons and whatever spec I listed earlier.
 
The guy who's working on it now knows his crap and he said the same thing, but he called up Comp and they told him with the set up it would be fine.
 
AFR heads, but get them bare and buy your own parts, I bought a set from them, and the parts they used were junk.
