ok heres the deal...my dad is doing some work for a guy and dosent know what to charge him.

2 1968 ford trucks...one has a 390 and the other has a 300 straight 6.
hes going to be removing both motors and rebuilding the 390 then installing that motor into the straight 6 chassis. how much would a shop charge for this kind of work?? just need a ballpark estimate. my dad was going to charge him 1800 for everything

6 hours for each removal. 6 hours for install. I'd say roughly 24 hours to overhual a engine.

@ 40-50$ per hour


still less then a shop would charge.....most dealers are at like 80-115$ per hour.
