need a part for this Ford Aspire ASAP

bad design on Ford's part. The steel tube that runs from the water pump around and back to the heater core is rusted out and shooting coolant all over. I called all the local auto parts places and they are telling me its a dealer item. Seriously?

Im not happy about sinking more money into this POS but I cant very well sell it like this so anyone have any ideas other than the dealer?

x2....lol....anyhow, you might want to go to your plan b. this part has been obsoleted some time ago and there aren't any new pieces showing up anywhere in the country.
 
sorry to hear this ...was hopin that little turd was rollin down the road ...any chance of using the stub and connecting the ends with heater hose ???...you might also try napa ..back in the day escorts had the same type of deal and they sold replacements..
 
if its the all metal one im 90% its dealer only we sold alot of them where there were actually aspires on the road

I was gonna say the same thing. Did this to my girl's mom's car. Been 2 years no more leaking coolant.
 
I have called everywhere from O'Reilly's (they can order it) called Murray's, NAPA, Performance Automotive,Auto zone, Advance auto parts and nobody has it in stock and we tried to put a rubber hose over the bad area with clamps and that just crushed the rusted parts worse so looks like Im ordering the part. This makes the 2nd time I cant get a part for this thing. Who knew lol

what is wrong with getting the part from the dealer? Im sure its not that expensive.

I called the Ford dealer today and I cant get ANY parts for a Ford Aspire. So i went to the junkyard and found this part I need and Im selling this POS as soon as I can to try to get my money back out of this thing and cut my losses before something else takes a shit on this thing LOL. It has been a learning experience to say the least!
