so my buddy calls me and tells me his wife has a myspace page and her status is single, should he worry? :dontknow:

Yep. Tell him to also look at the reason she has listed for being on there. Some of the options are, "dating, networking, friends," etc. Then tell him to drop hints about getting a MySpace account himself and see how she reacts.
 
crazzy al is right, he should make a fake account and start talking to her online and catch her in the act..
 
I found out the hard way that a girl I thought was planning on being with me had a b/f and 2 weeks later got pregnant. Some people blow off little things like that on myspace. Most of the time it actually means something. It takes all of a minute to change it.

Give her the ol' slut test. Have one of his friends that she doesn't know hit on her and see what happens.

Also a good idea. But make sure that he is mildy computer saavy. Listing his real first and last name, email address his wife knows about, his own pix, is a great way to get caught and blowing his cover.
 
I have a few hundred GMAIL invites I can send his way so that he can make a new email address that his wife doesn't know about.

He just asked me how do you check the reason?
 
Under her profile it should say.

Status:single
here for: dating/cheating on your spouse
orientation: bi (if he's lucky)
 
single is the default. if she just created it, or doesn't ever use it, i wouldn't worry. if she's on it all the time, i'd worry then.

As long as she filled the shit out it should be right on her main page. Usually on the left. Scroll down.

If I wasn't at work I could take screen shots of my MySpace page to give you examples. But I'm blocked here from work. Sorry.

And yeah, tell him to get her myspace address, give it to you, and PM it to a few SELECT people here that you think you might be able to trust. Posting on the board for all to see might make her wonder WTF is going on.

Honestly I agree, if your new to myspace (like I am) you might not even know WTF is going on.

Yeah what he said...it defaults to single, as well as networking, dating, friends and all of the above so if she hasn't done anything to it yet, chances are that she never uses it.

But if the page is all nice and done up with a bunch of pictures, background, survey, and friends, then she took the time to edit the HTML code (which many people have no fucking idea how to use) but didn't change her marital status, then she's probably a dirty cheating pirate hooker.

I discovered my ex had one. She denied everything, so i argued for a while to catch her in a few more lies then handed her the printed and dated screen shots of her profile.
