My weekend of racing summed up, well Saturday anyways

Wow!!! Here goes
Ordered a replacement for my cracked rotor Friday
My second daughter Danica Jean was Born 5/10 Mother’s Day
Signed up for the event later that evening
Got sick as hell on Wednesday
Loaded my car Thursday, without going though it since Gingerman
Worked all day Friday, kissed wife and daughters good by
Picked up Eric, Shaun and Mike, My Pit crew whom I’ve never meant before (you guys did a great job, well I knew Eric)
Arrived at 10:30 PM, went straight to the bar (thanks Matt & Bret)
Got stuck with someone’s tab cough! cough!
Crammed 4 of us into a Hotel at 1 AM, got no sleep (Who gets text messages at 4 in the morning?????)
Up at 6, raining of course
Swapped crack rotor, meetings and students all day, semi dry practice, semi dry Qualifying ran a 1:16.7 (track record for ST2 was a 1:17.8xx) first hot lap of the race was a 1:16.1xx was then slowed to 1:19s behind a stupid Mustang, why is it always a mustang?
Grid was screwed up again, one hell of a show was put on for the spectators but I couldn’t have been more upset, racing out of class again, a little car to car contact and was passed by three cars under yellow.
Still sick, lost my voice & had a confrontation in the pits.
All and all a great day, one win, one track record.

Long story but that guy has a $250k racing budget per year the car has 750 HP and a paid crew. He was slow because he was blocking, Sunday he drove way better.
 
i don't think the volume level and kids matter that much. I had it up loud and could still barely hear you, not even enough to make out what you were saying in most cases. The Monte should have taken the Mustang out, lol. That guy was holding up the whole field somehow.
 
Congrats on a winning weekend. Wow, that sucks that he blocked the whole time. You almost got around him a few times. But he definitely had more speed in the straights. I was waiting for him & the Monte to make a mistake and you to fly around them. :lol:

So what happened with the confrontation in the Pits? Between you and the Mustang guy?

I read something about contact in something you posted somewhere. It's hard to tell from the video, which car did you make contact with? Or was the contact not from that session?

The Blue #53 Corvette hit me on my right rear, he got the worst of it it basicly just scuffed up my rim. It was early you can se my car dance around.

Yeah, 1st place and a new track Record 1:13.99, Jeff went off the first corner of the 1st lap trying to chase me down, unfortuantly there was a little damage to his car. I didn't see it but was told it ripped his splitter off.

You can hear it loud and clear.. it right in the 1st or 2nd corner IIRC... I watched the video last night.

Good job Ken.

What class was that mustang in? It had to of had at least 50+ more WHP than you.

Ahh... Yeah It was a ton, that car should be about 600+lbs more than you and the way it pulled away from you was amazing. At the start, he smokes the tires... wtf!! :hitit: Thats Nascar power right there... like you said 750+...
 
I heard a few things on the radio.. like "what a fucking douche bag" "fuck" all sorts of things.. Eric and Mike couldnt hear what you were saying but I laughed my ass off.

Sorry bout the 4 am text messages....

Forgot to mention the battery cable issue! You can actually hear the car cut out a few times during the vid..

No prob on the ride, glad you enjoyed it. Had it been the red car you would have shit your pants for sure.
