My Turbo Install Thread

;ets see a pic with teh new wheels....looks good!!
Still waiting on my 4th wheel. One of the rears was damaged when I got it so only have 3 of the 4 mounted right now. Replacement was due Friday but I watched the UPS guy drive right by my house. Called and they had a messed up address. So it'll be Monday when I get my wheel. Still need spacers on the rears so they clear my jounce bumper. They rub at the moment without any spacers. So for now my bald stock rears shall stay on there.

Looks bad ass Tony!! i think the car might need a little bit of lowering now! those rims look sweet! when are the big bad brakes going on?
Brakes will be another weekend or winter project. Gotta paint up those monster calipers first. Gotta be nice and Orange! Then get the conversion brackets mocked up and determine spacer size for the front too. I mocked up that knuckle I had the brake on and it did not fit behind these wheels. The caliper housing is freaking huge! Major DOH! That is the whole reason I went with these wheels.

take off those jounce bumpers and make a little room with a hammer to make the rears fit! that's what i did with my black rims

Paint your wheel wells black while you have the tires off. Take the front wheels off and paint the fronts:rockon:

I may have to try that out this week. Did your rims also have the +56mm offset on the rear?

Yeah some of that appearance stuff will happen this winter and next spring. I had lots of ideas as I had this thing all apart. Just didn't want to slow down driving it again!

hmm....they could have been...for some reason, 58mm is sticking in my mind. but regaurdless, i just had to remove the bump stops, and grind a little bit of the metal they mount too, and then take a hammer to the one spot that they rub, the "9 o'clock" position on the drivers side, and vice versa on the passanger side

mister coffee FTW!

Ha ha, yeah it was still down about a quart of coolant when I checked it last night. Topped it off and burped it again. We'll see how it does on the way to the alignment today. Have some coolant in the car in case I need more.

I stopped at Dave's yesterday and my car sounded like coffee percolating. Ha ha. Lots of air still in the system I guess.
