My Skydiving Experience!

It was an absolute blast! I am going back in the spring for my licensing so I can jump by myself! My Tandem Master was Larry, he's been jumping for over 40 years and has over 11,500 jumps( I think I was his 11,848th can't quite remember)! We jumped from a little over 12,000 feet, and what a rush, just being on the edge at the door and jumping out! We did also sorts of rolls and spins, he even handed me the controls! I was the only tandem on my load, everyone else was licensed and solo jumping, met a bunch of cool people.

Me not knowing what I am getting myself in to

All in all it was about 40 seconds of freefall, and 6 or so minutes of descent. Probably one of the coolest things I have ever done and I can't wait to go back and do it again!

You'd be uncormfortable with santa on your back?

psshhh....why?

:)

Great pics! The one in the door of the plane is the best!

I wish I had pix of my jump. I was glad to jump out of the pile of shit we were flying in! It was half the size of the one you took.

Good job! Wasn't it fun as hell?!?!?! :rockwoot:
It was a fucking blast! I don't think anything can compare to the feeling of freefall!

where is this at?
I did it out of Tecumseh.

Very cool, I'd probably feel uncomfortable with a dude strapped to by back tho.
Having a dude strapped to your back is the last thing you'll think about as you're in the plane climbing to 12,000 ft and mentally preparing yourself and thinking you're going to be jumping out of an airplane in a minute.

Tecumseh is supposedly getting a new plane that's twice as big next year, with rear exit, how badass would it be to get a running start out of the plane!:rockwoot:

man i wish i could do that
Don't let anything stop you, I am glad I didn't. I had a few friends that were planning to go with me, but couldn't make it for various valid reasons, so I went by myself.

Let me paint a picture for you...our plane looked like it hadn't flown in years, was meant to fit MAYBE 3 people in it (including pilot) yet we crammed in 5. The door was a tiny little thing that you had to hold up, and when you exited the newbie jumper (guy in front of the 2 tied together people) was responsible for stepping out onto a tiny 1"x3" piece of metal that was atop one of the landing gear tires. All that kept you from falling was that tiny 1"3" piece of metal and the dude strapped to your back...who happened to be about 80lbs SMALLER than me, so he wasn't holding me back if I would have fucked up.

It was QUITE the experience.
