My PlastiDip experience/opinions

smooth

After all the talk about people doing this I had to try it, pretty cool and cheap....but if your expecting a paint like finish you will be disappointed. My wife was OK with me doing a test run on her truck, she likes the end result but I personally think it looks like shit, horrible texture - looks like gravel guard or bedliner IMO

put it on really thick and you can get a smoother finish. it's not meant for what we're using it for, kinda have to mess with it a while to see how it reacts.

Yeah I imagine that would work on small parts, but it has no melt in,flow or leveling capabilities so your over lap is very noticeable.

Well of course you're going to hate it! We know what you are used to. For me, it was really more of a test run than anything. It looks good from 10'. Since I like the overall look, it's convinced me to do it properly when I have the funds and get my wheels powdercoated and the trim professionally painted.

THe Heights is going down hill!...lol The Denali wasn't worth the steal till plastidip!
 standards are dropping fast, pretty sure it was a group of kids thinking there was some goodies inside cause all they did was break the lift gate handle
