My old race cars 1968 Fairlane 390 4 speed and 1969 Cougar 428 SCJ 4 speed

Super cool! I was just talking yesterday about how different it must have been racing a stick car in the 60's compared to now and here you post 2 different set ups. Nice!
 
Really cool cars. Lots of quick cars "north of the border". Used to do a lot of sled racing in Ontario back in the day. Always a great time. They loved to race then drink beer. Probably why we got along so well.

This was Windsor drag strip about 20 minutes east of Detroit which I won division 3 NHRA track stock points at .This when stock and super stock was allowed to run a 7 inch wide slick hard to shift threw wheel spin. Just noticed you were racing Pete Sabo in the Raven '63 Plymouth in the one pic. Pete and I worked together in the '70's, and he used to tell me about racing with Tignanelli, of Shadowoods fame, back in the day. Haven't seen a pic of Pete's car in almost 40 years. :thumbsup:
