My new roof in 4 hours.....Photos

The didn't stand by their work in our instance. The basically said "we put the shingles up, you didn't tell us how to do it, therefore it's your fault". I've been waiting for one to come off or for a leak to start, going to raise so much hell with them when it does.

Will be doing my House this next year I think.... But I will have my Father-in-Law, my dad, Brother, Brother-in-laws and some buddies do it with me.

Already have a price on materials. New Board and dimensionals at Contractor Price's (Including dumpster and removal) - $1200
Father-in-law now retired was a Builder (most anal person I know) all his life and Wifes brothers do roofing now.

Good to know people who do it right.

Did you check with our home improvement sponsor?

Yes I did check the list & didn't see
anything that even looked roof related.

A few weeks ago I did post a "roofer wanted"
thread here as well.

The arrows point how the water flows...Is the shingles (where the Red arrow is) on back wards?
Water would seep between the shingles, right?

The black arrows should be running down the roof and the red is the peak. It runs a different way, the red arrow should be pointing in the direction that the prevailing wind comes from. This keeps the shingles from lifting in high winds.

Since you just got the roof done, as cold as it is (I'm sure it's just as cold up there) and if you're getting the winds we are, better check those shingles tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them have come off.

Not a bash to the workmanship, just due to the weather conditions.

Yep, the kids saw one "flying"! I'm not surprised either.
I already called them & now we'll see how well they take care
of this. I do believe they will do right thing & all will be well.

If not, you guys will know / hear about it!
