My new DD

awesome truck, saw it at your work when i went by saturday. looked good.
Yea i might as well live here i'm always at the shop :bondage:

I dig the windshield tint. Wouldn't mind some one mine, but a little lighter
if i had left the back glass alone and not darkened it up some it would look a tad lighter. it's nice because it isn't even noticable while driving at night which i like

nice truck matt!!

Thanks Joel!

Hmmm, I am thinking about it then. I just don't want it darker than my sides (35%). But I do like the shade that you have on the windshield. I have a dark gray car and it would look good with it.

Looks nice! It's good to see more members getting diesels lately. I was starting to feel kinda lonely.

 i was looking at a duramax, but the re-occuring faulty injectors chased me away  i really like this 7.3!

I hear ya on the injector thing. I was worried at first, but if and when they fail, I'll just go bigger. Part of the key to making them live is secondary fuel filtration, but even that won't guarantee that a problem won't arise.
The 7.3's are great motors, and if you play your cards right, you can make some serious power. A guy named Zane Koch has one in the 10 second range.

what is the 7.3 rated at for hp/tq

I still can't decide 7.3 or duramax

The 7.3 was somewhere around 235/500 stock. D-maxes were all above 300/600 if I remember correctly. Of course, those are stock numbers, and we all know that there's an easy 100hp with just a programmer.....but it can get expensive fast. lol

I've had both, liked both. I currently have a dmax and more quiet and for sure more powerful in stock form. The truck is really nice also. I will say mine does have an injector problem right now that I have to get fixed, but even with the issue it gets way better milage than my old powerstroke trucks did.

The Ford trucks are still kinda my favorite, but this Chevy continues to impress me. I think after the injector is repaired it will probably run even better.

i was looking at a white ext. cab 2500HD silverado '04 but the miles on it chased me away, the part i like most about this F250 is that it only has 70K miles

Nice truck man ! I sure wish I would have had you tint my F150 before I left Michigan. The job that I got here in good ole' Del Rio, TX. was "A-1" :shake:

i want one of those. my dad has an '09 ram, and it just doesnt compare. he uses it to tow a trailer several days a week, and that thing gets 8mpg at best.. he had to put air bags on the rear because the 1500 suspension was just too soft also. its a womans truck, and i dont see it lasting very long as a "work truck." he should have just gone with the PSD like i told him to!!

nice truck though. they look best in white, but that color aint bad. :D

Glad to see you ditched the Dodge and bought a real truck! That truck F250 is pretty sexy.
Yeah, Dodges are made with some piss poor components. i turned my Ram in with 23K miles (4K under what i was allowed!) and the truck already needed new front end parts, i babied the truck and it was already loose. my boss had a black ram like mine (except his was well...the shop truck and was abused a lot) and it would hit a bump and go across a lane of traffic it was so loose.

That sucks, that's the problem with southern states or places where tint is legal, the shops are a dime a dozen and it's hard to find a nice shop. It's like that in AZ where my dad lives, tons of mexicans doing shotty jobs for pennies on the dollar of what we charge.

The new rams look sweet, i was open minded when looking for a replacement and was looking at some 03-05 cummins rams. but i found this one. these trucks do look good in white as long as they don't have that stupid tan lower on them. Black, white or pewter were the only 3 colors i would consider when looking for a truck.

You are exactly right ! I picked up the truck after it got done, went to fill up with gas, and while I was pumping I noticed two pieces of friggin' hair between the tint and the back window ! Besides that, there were dirt bubbles, debris, ect. everywhere. I took it back, and told the guy "just do a good job. I expect a little better work than that". I can't stand these people down here. The "craftsmanship" is just unbelieveable.
