My new daily driver, 2010 Taurus SHO

After much deliberation (getting older and having a kid) I decided I needed to get my first "grown up" car. I've always had smaller hatchbacks for daily drivers but now that I have a kid and planning on another in the future I decided something a little bigger would be more appropriate. I was looking at the Focus ST or a WRX but thought the SHO was a good compromise, since its AWD/Turbo/ and gets decent gas mileage.
Picked it up used from Romeo ford. Only has 22k on it. Found a guy on CL that had a set of the 2013 sho wheels on his sel and was trading it in, so I traded him my stock wheels/tires with 22k on them for his almost brand new 2013 sho wheels plus some cash. Can't even buy a set of tires for the price I got them for. I like the look better, and I think with a small drop/tint/and maybe some grille treatments it's gonna look more aggressive like the 2013 ones do.
So far it's awesome, it has way too many features for me. I'm used to bare minimum so this is like piloting the space shuttle. Trying to keep my right foot light to see what kinda mpg's can be achieved. So far I'm very happy.

Thanks, it's my first non black daily driver. I vowed never to own another black DD for a long time. Sick of seeing all the little swirls/chips/scratches and dirt. White needs to be washed probably just the same but doesnt show nearly as much.

Cool beans. Grats. Those are definitely on my short list if I decide to get another daily driver.

I always liked them but new, they were out of my budget. I just sold my 2005 mustang gt and traded in my scion so I'm actually saving money now. The 2013's are pricey. Sticker on one at the dealer was $46k.

Nice ride. The SHO is on my short list for a DD replacement when the time comes, but the G8 GT still has a slight edge. AWD in the winter has got to be really nice, though.

I think I like your generation more than the 2012+ too. The touch sensitive buttons in the new ones annoy me.

This is what happens .. I start looking at things I don't need that look cool and end up spending a ton of money on something that won't get used. :D

SHOforum.com has a 2010+ SHO section.

Thanks, I think I stumbled upon the site last night looking for some pictures. Ended up finding this pic there.

Really like the stance and the painted trim on the bottom and black roof

I already see you going down the road of needing to buy a beater because you've got big plans for the SHO.

Nice ride! Love those cars.

Ha, I hope not, I bought this to drive year round. Might have to get another set of wheels and tires though. I'm hoping the clear bra will protect the front end enough for a couple of years.

Very nice! Can't beat a SHO for a dd, unless maybe with the mks counterpart. Now bring it to livernois so I can throw some parts on it! H&R springs give them a perfect stance, then do an intake/tune on it and tint and you'll be set ;)

Believe me as soon as I get some "fun" money I'm heading to Livernois. Definetly want a drop, but thinking eibach over h&r just for clearance. Also want to do an exhaust and intake/tune.

Also trying to find a contact for the company that took over the mobsteel grilles. Think they're called Superlux outta Grand Rapids but can't find a contact. They're on shoforum.com but I can't register there for some strange reason.
