Kinda new here so I thought I'd throw my Project log on here. Its a 93 240sx with a LS1/T56 Swap. I pretty much pioneered the swap.

I took a short Video. Just a Idle and small rev clip.

VIDEO HERE. ITS NOT MOVING ANYTIME SOON

Rusty! Needs Work...

Painted... Not the greatest but its the engine bay.

These are C5 headers cut right below the 02 bung hole so I can slightly re-aim it back more.

Skyline crossmember. I had it left over from my old red S13 that I sold. After I test fitted the headers I knew they would work, all I did is buy some 3" SS u bends cut to fit, then welded the flange back on where ever I want the headers to aim.

It took us 4 times to get this sucker in. Had to beat out the tunnel a bit, crossmember issues, swaybar issues, just a headache. Thats what 9 hours will do I guess. Now its sits perfect, just in front of the crossmember and the shifter sits in the correct position. The trans is only 1 inch longer than the stock trans and it gave me the perfect length because it gave me room to put the engine forward to clear the firewall.

dscn01481fw.jpg

DAMN THIS BITCH IS FAST!!!

dscn01680fs.jpg

Oops... This is what happens when you jack up the trans and realize it isn't back far enough... Shifter through the floor haha.

Shifter Location. A bit forward, I can deal.

GTO oil pan because its front sump and since the 240 is rear steer it was the only way to get an engine in.

You guys won't believe what I had to do to make this universal clutch master to fit. I had to weld a plate on the back side of the clutch pedal assembly then weld bolts that go through the firewal to hold on the master. Took me a good 4 hours.

Custom engine mount I made for both sides.

361WHP @5,600 and 350 ft. lbs Torque @ 4,600. It made 300 torque @ 2,000RPM I'm happy.

I plastigaged everything, got the block honed, crank ground and got the right bearings in, gapped the rings, ARP'ed the main stuff

Got most of it together. LS2 chain, Lingenfelter oil pump, LS7 lifters, Ported heads, Partriot performance Dual springs, F14 cam, Xtreme Piston Rings, Flycut pistons, etc.

I finally Picked up my Solid rearend. Its a Ford 8.8 out of an Explorer. I'm going to be narrowing it to fit under the S13 body. Its going to be hooked to the body with a rear frame kit, 4 Link setup and QA1 coil overs.

Wheel and tire choice is 15x10 Weld Prostars and 325/60R15 M/T Drag Radials. Shooting for 1.4 60's and a high 10 pass. My buddy who has a 9" in his is running 1.3 60's with a 425HP SBC. We'll see how it goes.

Got the backend pretty much stripped and getting ready to cut it out. I have the tubs cut out just to see what kind of clearance I have for the tires. The floor will be cut out completely this weekend. Getting a nice battery box and aluminum fuel cell with a Aeromotive A1000 pump. Should pull 10's :D

Tubs cut out, the roll cage is really one shade, it just got pulled in from the Artic temps so its kinda froze :x

Its was closin time at the shop so the wheels kinda got foggy too. Some paper to show you a comparison of the dish.

Drove to Columbus Sunday to pick this crapola up. The vendor was at a car swap meet and they are originally from South IN like an hour away from Louisville. We got there at 3:30 and they were ready to leave and packing up! I almost missed them by 10 minutes, WHEW! Almost spent 8 hours driving for nothing.

Thanks for the great comments guys! I'm more willing to help anyone here out than any other forum. I'm glad I can give you guys some motivation. Let me remind you guys I'm 22 and split broke, so this car is being done on a budget. I wish I would have money to throw at it. Maybe someday I'll have a Forged 408 with a big thumper frame turbo on it clicking 7 second passes... Dreams.

Alex, you can stop by anytime you guys want after hours, but please dont bring the old 240! I'll want to kill him for it back haha.

Heres some pics of my old 240sx I built and sold to build this one. This is to give you an idea of some of my work....

wow you guys did a lot of work to that car to fit it in there...looks great! I look forward to seeing you up at woodies this spring summer. Nice car!

Who tuned your car?

Matt and Monkey Wrench did a decent job. It stalls when it comes down from hard acceleration and I have to feather it a bit to keep it running. Other than it runs great.

Thanks for the props guys I'll definitely be out beginning of spring!

Your gonna need that backhalf to keep up :P j/k lookin forward to helpin you out alex.. your car is the perfect test mule for my first 4-link setup! Keep er straight!
