This past weekend was the Chelsea Fair and one of our techs (Tony) asked me to borrow my truck for the tractor pulls. There were 14 trucks entered and my little Eco-boost placed 4th. It pulled the sled 247' (full pull is 300') and the winner was 254'. Tony had it in 4 low but put it in 1st not thinking and it hit the limiter which killed a little momentum until he shifted. The only difference from the way I drive it normally was it's stock wheels. I figured the 24's wouldn't have gripped very well and they weigh a TON. It also had a full tank of fuel, so I'm sure that didn't help either. All in all I'm pretty impressed with the little V-6 TT.

Wow, that's pretty impressive.

Last week at the Mustang Alley track event they had a CC Ecoboost doing laps in between the Boss 302s on the ride & handling course. I saw more people get out of the truck with shit eating grins on their face than anything else.

Didn't Ford release a "making of" video or tv special not too long ago RE the Ecoboost displaying a sled pull too? Great advertising...
 
Pulled it good, how much weight is that? Are the sleds setup with some type of resistance system inside them, or do they just keep adding weight, or what?
