My first Ford

Nice ride!!

Whats wrong with nitto drags in the rain? I've been 120+ in the rain on bald ones.

Seriously?! I dunno, I just felt like the car would get out from underneath me if I drove it any faster than 50. That was a long ride home.

I had an accident in the rain when I was 17. I spun out under a bridge doing 30 MPH and it hit the side of the concrete wall, so I get a little white knuckled in the rain.

Thats nuts, i remember a guy named greg..he had a sunset orange ss with bolts ons and drag radials running low 12's and i think he broke 11's with just about nothing done and was coming home from an out of state track and lost it and totaled that SS just because of those nittos.

It really depends on the car. My Jetta was relatively inexpensive. The turbo was $600 for the car. I think the whole BT upgrade was under $2K for me. I do all my own work.

Im talking high HP.. like 450-600whp 4 cylinder... (~ = 900-1200whp v8)

The jettas and GTI I know arnt good past about 375 with out a good motor rebuild, and the axels ive heard are like twigs.

I was around 280, then I went 60 trim @ 24 psi and tore a con rod in pieces. I was making over 400 WHP when it let loose. The axles held up though. :)

No, the guy lived in the Troy area. He was in his mid 20's. Great guy though. An honest seller.
