his first time on it, the suzuki jacket is classic though

I can't figure out the best way to get the front up on my bike...then again, I'm not 100% sure I want to try to find out.

well i used to power wheelie in 1st by just going wot around 45ish.. and it would come up but violently and drop hard usually unless i rode it out.. now im workin on the 2nd gear clutch ups... alot more smother and easier for me.. the zx12 is a fast bike so it shouldn't be too hard... be around 5500-6000 in second.. and keep all ur fingers on the clutch side except ur index on the bars pull the clutch in with the index and pull the throttle hold it then pop the clutch out all at the same time.. it takes time to get used to but it works like a champ every time... at first dont go wot when u try it just do a lil to get it up a couple inches till u get the hang of it.

i getting better at them every day..

and it is addicting... so try at ur own risk cause u will like it and try harder and harder every time

Slipping the clutch was easiest for me to learn in 2nd, originally I started doing 1st gear power wheelies but after a time or two of close calls going over the back I grew some balls and learned the clutch method sitting down. I was also riding a 600 so it took a lil more effort than a 1000cc bike, but once you find the sweet spot for a controlled lift it becomes addicting and you constantly push the "what if" factor ;)

I can't figure the power-up in first...maybe it's 'cause I'm not a light guy, but I've taken it to 4500-5000 and gone WOT and it pulls like a bitch but the front won't come up much (if any). I'll have to try the clutch up in second...gotta get some balls first

RedXtcy good to see you are on the 14, be careful with them wheelies and make sure you have a good steering damper when coming down from wheelies......http://www.schnitzracingstore.com/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=4933062

If you have to go Wide open to maintain your wheelie, i dont care what gear, your not in control. A wheelie is all balance. you forget to mention that you should keep your rear brake in mind at all times as an emergency plan or to correct yourself.

thats stupid it starts with a baby 1 and always leads to a big 1 and then shit happends, like tickets getting the bike impounded and so on, ive been there done that, ive use to do 5 mile wheelies now when i see people doing them i cringe i hate them,,

be careful steve

i would put a swing arm on there like i did mine

but shit with a 14 that bitch should come right up in every gear

x2 With a liter or better the tire should be up no problem. Buddy has a cbr600rr thats basically stock (power commander) and has no problem power wheeliing first gear. And he weighs~200. My stock 01 ZX6-R would bring the tire up at 8k if i left off and hit it hard.

Try that. 6-7k, let off, twist it. I'm no pro rider by any means, but those big cc bike should be wheel up no problem. Should be no need to clutch them. I messed around with clutching my bike up, and it was cool, although I realize now that i was at too low of a speed. (scared me to be wheel up going fast) I was slipping the clutch at 7ish and it would wheelie nicely. I fucked up one time and slipped it at damn near 10k. Definetly 12 oclocked it, and set it right back down. a Friend (same one mentioned above with cbr) was headed toward me and he said all he seen was the header.

Good times, I would love to go cruise a bike again. That would be awesome.

Becareful guys.

ANNNNDDD just because I miss it! :punchball

After riding my dirtbike my 04 Daytona 955i is slouch for wheelies.. I can ride probably 1-2 miles on the back tire on my Kx450f.. Im lucky to get a 1/4-1/2 mile on the Daytona..

im workin on having a buddy build me a swingarm so im tryin to get these things outta my system before that happens..

but since this bike is a stock 08 the butterfly's prevent it from powering up in any gear but first... now when i get a powercommander and take them out it will be a diff story... from the factory the only gear u are really goin wot is 6th... the rest the butterflys dont open all the way restricting alot of power.

im near 275lbs on a heavy stock resticted bike... it wont come up with me on it unless wot.. and the brake is allways covered..
