I know, I know, this likely isn't the best sub-forum for "car wanted" thread, but this is a fairly time sensitive need and no sub-forum on this website gets more views than The Pub.

Anyway, my brother-in-law's car just died and it isn't worth repairing so here I am trying to help him find a car. Budget is $3000-$5000 and the car needs to be well-maintained, very reliable, and fairly few efficient. He lives in Grand Rapids currently and drives a fair amount to school, work, and back home. "Home" is here in SE MI. He's a young guy so it would also be nice if the car looked decent as well. Please let me know what you've got, ASAP.

Ok...it seems that he's looking to spend $2000 cash OR up to $5000 (loan) for a 2003 or newer model year vehicle.

None of you are selling anything that fits this criteria?
 
$2000 cash for a 2003 or newer? Or $2000 cash on anything or finance $5000? I have a $2000 unit for sale but it is not a 2003 lol
 
Yet another correction: He's thinking about using 2K of his savings in addition to a 5K loan, so roughly a 7K car. Because of the loan, the car has to be 2003 our newer
