After sitting from 1998 until 2004, then from 05 until this year. We did do some sweet burnouts with it last year, but never really drove it. I'm finally starting to put the time into it that it deserves. Thanks to my 5 year old, Thomas, after I took him to the track this year, he hasn't left me alone about it.
Original 5.0/ 5 speed car, Calypso green with original black interior, 114,000 miles. Only a tune up and new clutch in the mileage. I have never had the throttle body off the car, it's 100% stock intake to pan. So we'll see where it ends up at. After the Cobra, I've got some pretty big shoes to fill.
Mods done in 2004:
welded up the torque boxes
Lakewood 70/30 front struts
Lakewood 50/50 rear shocks
UPR chromoly uppers and lowers
Russel braided brake lines
4 cowl hoods
3 decklids, 2 fiberglass
Swapped from GT front bumper and GFX to stock LX
FRPP aluminum driveshaft
Pro-Star wannabes with Hoosiers
sandblasted, painted the rear
aluminum rear bumper reinforcement with aluminum bumper mounts "Thanks Raj"
sub frame connectors
new O/R h pipe
it did get new 2 chamber Flowmasters in 99
think that's about it for '04, I've had so many parts for this car that I could've built 4 10 second cars. But, went through some shit and had to off the Cobra and ALL my car stuff basically.
Way back in 1995/96
In 2004 when I started, and some working on it pics
Got the garage cleaned out so we can start working on it again, as it sits today. Yes, the Saleen wing is staying. But, I have another rust free decklid that I'm going to put the Ed Quay wing on and just swap them whenever I want. Parts that I have that we'll be putting on within the next couple of weeks.
Griffen aluminum radiator
Strange 31 spline axles w/ c-clip elims
New brakes all around
Ford SVO rearend girdle
BBK shorty headers
sumped stock tank
Walbro 255 in tank fuel pump
MSD wires
