My 85 GT

Here's a pic of my 85 that I've been working on for awhile now. I still have some things to wrap up on it but it's at least a full fledged driver now. I bought it off another member. I think it used to belong to Diamond so some of you may remember it from when he owned it. It looks quite different from when I originally got it. Its been put back to stock as my intention was to get it back on the road as a DD. Its got all later model FOX running gear so it runs as well as a bone stock 5.0 runs- LOL. I've got about 700 miles on it so far since getting it put back together. Anyways, here it is.

"Later model Fox running gear" meaning you went EFI? THAT's refreshing!! I see tons of people going the opposite way!!

Sweet car. Too sweet for a DD IMO!!

Yes, that is correct. I used my left over EEC4 SD stuff from my 88. The car is a twenty footer so I don't mind DD-ing it. If I didn't already have another project I would have really gotten into this car more than I have. I actually have a buddy interested in it now that it's about done so I may not be owning it much longer. Thanks.

I kept the Speed / Density hardware off my '88 when I went to Mass Air. I figure someone would want to do what you did to an earlier model at some point. How solid is the body and under car? A 20 footer that's clean, straight, and solid is better than a shiny POS!!

Its REAL solid. Just needs to be rubbed out in the least.

Man I remember me and my friend went to the dealer in 85 took a test drive and they let us take it by ourselves it was a used 5 speed had 20.000 miles on it bought the car drove it for a week flipped the air filter top over put some race gas in it bumped the timing up by ear and beat every car around one race was a 68 camaro with a 327 solid cam with a 410 slicks he got us out the gate but after second gear put buses on him,Second race on the Freeway 80s corvette two guys pull up at 70 mph nail it we ride their bumper when he tops out we go around them waving with the mph hand heading toward the 0 and still pulling those racers were shocked

Got a few more things done today. Wired up the factory tach. Installed the front wheel liners. Also tied up a few small electrical items as well.
