My 5yr old got attact by 2 dogs!!

Wow Labs? That's rare, but I guess an animal is still animal no matter what breed. Good luck with the outcome.

Very sorry to hear this :( Hopefully your kids will be OK.
Very odd the dogs owner took off, hopefully we'll hear more about this.

I joked about that to my wife this morning.

I doubt we will sue, but I do want to know about if the dogs have their rabies shots.

I would not let them off that easy if it was me, but then, I'm not a dog person.

Why not. Those scars will never heal perfect without plastic surgery. I would sue and put it away for her college fund. It's not like your neighbor is going to have to come out of pocket for it. It will go against her homeowners policy. I hope she is ok. My daughter had something like this happen to her. It was a good friends dog and it involved food. Needless to say my friend paid for all the medical bills including the plastic surgeon. Good luck and I hope it all works out.

Wow, my heart goes out to your little girl. I'd have lost it....seems you have your head together and are thinking logically..

Logical steps= Medical attention, police, then legal action.

First concern is those dogs and what they could do if this where to happen again. Second concern, did I read this correctly: She took your daughter into her home? Any neighbor I know or don't know does that I'm knocking down the f'in door and coming after them. Lastly, she sent your daughter on her way then left the house and then somehow came back and got the dogs out before the cops came? Bitch knows she's in the wrong and could be in trouble. I'd go after them for all you can for the principal of the matter. Hell, pay off the medical bills, buy your little girl a gift and some icecream and give the rest to charity....but I'd be going after these people.

Good luck and glad she's ok.

agreed

did she get a rabbies shot? they have a shot like this just in case of situations like this.

when i got a dog bite . dog was running the hood ,no one to ask for records.. i had these shots 21 of them .. the needle is around 12'' inchs ... its been a few years so i dont know how it is now ... i would get the records of the dogs before she gets the shots

i'm a huge dog/animal lover, but when normally docile breeds attack little girls, it's time for them to be put down.

then i would sue the fuck out of the owner. if not for the money, to teach them a lesson. things could have been a lot worse, and no little girl EVER deserves to go through that shit.

it pisses me off just thinking about it. i don't know how you haven't beat the ever living fuck out of the owners.

Labs can be very aggressive! I'm glad it wasn't worse! As already said do whatever it takes to teach the dog owner a lesson in responsibility.

It's not his responsibility to "teach" the owner a lesson. The law will handle her. He is doing right by making sure that his daughter is ok, and placing her well-being first and foremost. I would hope that they take the dogs away. A community with as many children as you mentioned cannot afford to have such dangerous animals around. Sue happy & gun happy people piss me off. You never know if one of the kids antagonized the dogs (though, the dogs shouldn't have been loose and its still scary that they would attack anyway- I know Bry's rottie you could throw down & wrestle & he'd never harm you). I'm just so glad the girl is ok and that law enforcement was brought in.

if you think that the "law" just handles everything properly and automatically, you're sadly mistaken. it's not like the dogs were shitting on his lawn or something. his five year old girl was fucking attacked. i have no tolerance whatsoever for this. it's the dog owners responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen. it's the reason i make sure my dogs are fenced in... to protect others and to protect the dogs.

This may sound extreme, especially coming from a dog lover, but I would likely kill someone else's dog(s) if it/they harmed my 6 year old daughter in that manner. If I couldn't get at them with a shovel or a hammer, I'd probably feed them glass mixed up in ground meat. Fuck those dogs and their owner. I couldn't hit a woman, so killing her dogs would likely be punishment enough for her dogs scaring my little girl.

**I never claimed to be a rational human being**

Absolutely!

Not the same thing, but my uncle had 2 german shorthairs (professionally trained hunting dogs = $$$$), and they were on a runner in a fenced yard, when 2 dogs, a Lab and a Rot got in the yard and killed the both of them. These were harmless dogs and tied up to boot. He called the cops, they did nothing but write their dumbass report. So he waited until they got out again, they got onto his property (He wouldn't have left some fresh steaks out there or anything like that:dontknow:) (in a rural area keep in mind), and he put both of them down.

I am a dog lover and will have my new puppy shortly, but this kinda of behavior from any animal is uncalled for and the dogs should be put down.

yeah, what the fuck al just said!!!!!!!!!
I was being serious. And I said hammer or shovel because gun shots are loud, too quick, and you get in a lot of trouble for discharging a firearm in public. Blows from a shovel or a hammer will make me feel better by physically venting for what those dogs did to my little girl.
