My 1988 5.0 and 1989 5.0 project ...

Man this flippin weather is screwing up progress..I'll be pulling the engine out of the LX this weekend or next weekend for sure,well as long as it doesn't snow because I gotta drive the LX to Roseville..

Yes,the one in the LX and its bone stock...I have a guy wanting to come look at it this weekend and if he doesn't show up,i'll let you know if ya want?Selling it intake to pan but swapping the front brackets,pullys and ALT with my 331..
 
Well,got some work done the last 2 days and about half done now :) ..Gotta finish swapping brackets/pullys,then my engine gos in....







 
Almost done..Gotta run the fuel system which im lost on :facepalm: ,ignition,exhaust,antifreeze and oil..Hope to have a video of it running this weekend :) ..Heres a video of my 5 year old helping,really hope he sticks with it..









 
Well I should havea video of it running today I hope..Finished the exhaust and ignition along with a few other things yesterday..Gotta drop the tank today,run the fuel system then start it and set timing..

 
BTW,
With a nice TOYO Proxes tires on the back and 150lbs of subs in the hatch,it blistered the hell out of the tires..I don't beat on my cars on the street but wanted to see if she would spin the sticky tires from a roll with all the weight in the hatch,didn't expect it to do what it did..I never had any of my cars dynoed but im going to try getting this one done just to see what shes making..Then i'll take it to the track and see what it runs..REALLY hoping for a mid to low 11,i'll be SUPER happy :) ..
