see i always looked at it like this, mustangs are "me too cars" i've got a mustang, really? me too, problem is, they are proven preformers. some of the fastest passes i've ever seen on the street are mustangs. they are light hook very well with basic suspension mods, and can be thrown together quickly cause everyone's got parts. personally i'd say on the street, the mustangs true rival isnt a camaro, its a G-body car, cause they hook damn near the same if you both know what your doing, the problem is the g body is always heavier, and need way more motor to run the same numbers, and a smart street racer (mustang guy) will know that, and end up getting a leave, cars what ever, and usually winning in the end. just my expericnce,

Talk about the proverbial :hitfan:...

It's hilarious to see all the Mustang guys come out of the woodwork! No longer the silent majority around here, that's for sure!

doing really well! got the new frame back from the chassis shop, the motors gonna be done some time next week, the body and frame are readdy to be seperated, and i've got everything i need to finish her i think. gonna start monday or tues on the swap, front clips off, motors in the engine build room, she's really coming along, and i've been busting ass on her. sure seems like a lot of work to try and get 10 cars and the leave from you on the street though!

I agree with you 100%! Big block Mopars sound the best! But usually bark worse then bite. Nice Duster Fogged!I liked that 3rd gen with the Lukovich motor in it too.Wonder if that car is still around.

you're absolutely right! i had an a-body 440 car years back. it flew with just our spare parts. our 65 dodge had a .030, 12.5 comp., '62 max wedge heads, 750 crane, man that motor thundered! got a notch now too. still love those old mo's though. just can't spend 7-8g for a clean 63-4 body anymore.
