Not for nothing, F-bodies didn't really start to get fast until the LS1 came along. Don't get me wrong, the LT1 was okay but doesn't have anywhere nearly as many nut swingers as the LSx platform.
When Camaro guys were busy reshaping their mullets, Mustangs were actually running the number.
Remember the time that GM killed the F-body? Do you remember all the protests that happened over it? Yeah, me neither.
Ford fans were ready to burn down the world headquarters when word that the Ford Probe was going to replace the Mustang. Result, they still have their pony car.
