Mustang won't start!

I was out ripping on mustang tonight around town and it started running rough so I came home. After dinner I went out to fire it up to dick around with it and now it won't start. It turns over just fine but only fires like ever 3 cylinders. No mixed fluids at all. Carbed/distributer/408. Any ideas?

might be some carb issues i would assume?

That's what I was thinking at first but I pulled it apart, cleaned it, put in a rebuild kit, and tossed it back on and the exact same thing. I figured tonight was best time as any to rebuild the carb because I've been meaning to do it for about 6 weeks now!

how high did you spin it? start checking the valvetrain maybe? i'd yank the rocker covers and see if anything's loose. spark plugs too. coulda fried the straps right off em if they got too hot.

I got on it hard but not that hard. I was sceaming around for a good 5 minutes around a bunch of curves then I finally caught a stop sign and it cam back to idle, when it did it was running super rough. Limped it home, turned it off, let it sit an hour or so and now it just cranks
