Are the spindle and brake setup on the 94-04 the same.
I did front wheel bearings on a 99 V6 car and was suprised at the lightweight componets dual piston calipers
Seems this would be a nice lightweight 5 lug swap. Are the 99 and up the only ones with aluminum calipers.
 
looked at a few sites the 94-95 spindles are the right ones to use on a foxbody. 96-98s are 8mm wider. The 99 brakes will work on sn95 spindles though says you have to modify the spindle a bit but they work better and are 8lbs lighter.

Thanks for the idea looks like I'm now in the market for some 99 v6 brake calipers :D

This is not quite correct.

The '94-'95 spindles are the same. They are preferred for Fox body 5-lug swaps.
The '96-'04 spindles are the same. They have a straight arm for the tie-rod (easy to identify) and they will push the wheels out 8mm per side.

Here is brief description of the brake options:
1984-86 SVO: 11" front rotors, 73mm single piston caliper. 7.5" rear axle with 11.375" rear disc brakes. 54mm rear pistons, 5 lug. Rear is 1.25" per side wider than 87-93. Same rear brakes as the Lincoln Mark7s.

1987-1993 Saleen Mustangs: Same as the SVO brakes -- 11" front rotors, 73mm single piston caliper. 11.375" rear disc brakes. 54mm rear pistons, 5 lug. Rear is 1.25" per side wider than 87-93. Same rear brakes as the Lincoln Mark7s. There were optional brakes on the SA-10 and SC cars that used the Alcon 4-6 piston 13" front brakes.

1993 Cobra: 11" front rotors (larger hat to match the rear offset), 60mm single piston caliper. 8.8" rear axle with 87-88 Tbird Turbo Coupe 10" vented disc brakes. 38mm rear pistons. 4 lug, different offset from GTs. Rear is .75" per side wider than GT/LX.

'93 Cobra R: 13x1.1" vented rotors, PBR dual piston 38mm unit from Corvette (interchangeable with Cobra and Bullitt calipers). 10.5" rear vented disc.

'94-95 V6 & GT: 10.8x1.0" front rotors, 66mm single piston calipers. Rear single piston 38mm Varga caliper, 10" solid rotor.

'94-98 Cobra, '95 Cobra R: 13.0x1.1" rotors, 38x38mm dual piston PBR calipers. Rear single piston 38mm Varga Caliper, 11.65" vented rotor

'99+ V6 & GT: 10.8x1.0" front rotors, 44.5x44.5mm dual piston PBR calipers. Rear single piston Varga caliper, 10" solid rotor

'99+ Cobra: 13.0x1.1" Brembo rotors, 40x40 mm dual piston PBR calipers. Rear single piston 38mm Varga Caliper, 11.65" vented rotor

'00 Bullitt Mustang: Same brakes as 94-98 Cobras (unique red PBR calipers with running horse up front, same varga caliper in rear painted red.) Rear single piston 38mm Varga Caliper, 11.65" vented rotor

'00 Cobra R: 13.0x1.1" Brembo rotors, Brembo 4 piston calipers. 36x40mm pistons. Rear disc the same as the stock '99+ Cobras
