They had to name it Mustang.

Ford already said the only car they will make is the mustang.

They had to name it mustang. That “brand” sells. They needed to use it to compete with Tesla. Brand recognition.

No other EV has the recognition as the tesla. Ford is banking on the mustang name to push it.
